About me
My career took quite a few turns before I found bookkeeping. I started out in retail management, became a PA supporting senior managers at a large insurance company, then ran my own complementary health practice for several years. Along the way I took on various administrative and project management roles too. It sounds eclectic, but that varied background turns out to be genuinely useful — I understand what it's like to run a business, to juggle competing priorities, and to work under pressure.
When bookkeeping came along, it clicked in a way nothing else quite had. I love the order it brings, the problem-solving it involves, and the relationships I've built with the small business owners and accountants I work with.
Away from the desk, I'm a keen runner and a regular at parkrun. I travel whenever I can, I'm rarely without a novel, and I share my home with a cat who is magnificently indifferent to tax deadlines. I am also Trustee/Treasurer for Merseyside Against Blood Cancers.
I'm fully insured and registered with and supervised by HMRC for Anti-Money Laundering Regulations.
