Xero has a strong reputation for its features and its robustness, and since its 2006 founding in New Zealand it has collected numerous accolades and awards, both for the quality of its products and the ease of its use. Its key features are:

QuickBooks is produced by Intuit Inc., a Californian-based company which was founded in 1983. The software is extremely popular with over 3 million users worldwide, although some Mac users have experienced difficulties with compatibility to newer version of Apple OSX. Its key features are:

QuickBooks also provides migration support to those whose accounts are currently recorded in Excel spreadsheets or Sage 50 software.

FreeAgent is a multi-award winning software package that started life in 2007. It started working with the Royal Bank of Scotland Group in 2017 to provide the software to RBS & NatWest customers, and RBS acquired the company the following year. Its key features are:

FreeAgent provides its users with a plethera of information, including user guides, a blog, webinars, help guides in running your business and product support.

In addition, I have some experience using Sage Accounting and Kashflow, as well as various add-on apps such as Float, Satago and AutoEntry.
