My Clients

I have been extremely fortunate to work with an incredibly diverse and interesting range of companies since I started bookkeeping (entirely by accident!) in 2010.

Lunya is an independent family-owned Catalonian deli, restaurant and bar, established in 2010. Originally I worked with Peter and Elaine Kinsella delivering the general administration of their first restaurant in Liverpool, and now I look after the accounts for Lunya’s two award-winning locations – Liverpool Hanover Street and Lunyalita, Royal Albert Dock – and their online shop. I have been Lunya’s accounts department (including when the Manchester site was open) since 2011.

“Lucy has been our bookkeeper for 10 years, initially as an employee and since 2013 as a freelancer. She is exceptional. Accurate, honest, reliable and profoundly thorough. Everything and more you could ever want in such a role. She is an invaluable part of our team and in reality, much more than a bookkeeper. She’s the company metronome – keeping us on task financially, ensuring we do everything on time and as a result, we have superb relationships with our suppliers. I particularly like the way Lucy is able to ask the important questions, gently challenge when necessary and always willing to take on new things and try new ways of doing things. I can’t imagine Lunya without Lucy. Her integrity is beyond reproach, and she is quite simply fantastic as a bookkeeper and a person.”

Wordscape is a team of creatives who specialise in storytelling and communication across many mediums, based in the Baltic Triangle in Liverpool. They also publish Ethos magazine. I have been working with Fiona, Andrew and the team since 2017.

“Lucy manages our bookkeeping and annual accounts, keeping close control of cash flow and invoicing, VAT, payroll and year-end. She’s a great organiser, which has taken a huge weight from my workload; she’s also a good communicator, forging strong bonds with our clients.” [READ MORE]

Avery Hill Publishing is a small independent graphic novel publisher based in London. They sell their award-winning novels all over the world, meaning that their accounts are challenging due to the multiples income streams and currencies, and the volume of retail sales. Ricky and Dave certainly have a keen eye for a beautiful novel.

“Lucy joined us in late 2020 and moved our accounts from various muddled spreadsheets into Xero and made my life about ten times easier! Her hard work, conscientious approach, honesty and adaptability in dealing with different types of challenges have been impressive and I’d heartily recommend her services.”
Ricky Miller, Co-Publisher, Avery Hill Publishing Ltd

I worked with Keith Hanshaw in this Liverpool family business, founded in 1966, to organise their books and introduced the Xero suite of software, as well as additional add-on software as needed, into their administration. They sell their beautiful leather bags and accessories all over the world and through wholesalers in diverse locations.

“Lucy’s common sense approach, willingness to learn new techniques and her real-world, practical experience mean that I have never had a better bookkeeper.” [READ MORE]
